Summary of Sanitary Valves

The different types of sanitary valves are gate, shut-off, butterfly, diaphragm, ball and check valves. The gate valve is fluid resistant and the full-open sealing surface is not easy to erode. The shut-off valve is the most widely used valve due to the small friction between the sealing surfaces during the opening and closing process and is not only suitable for medium and low pressure, but also for high pressure. For butterfly valves turn at 90 degrees to control and shut off the valve, fluid resistance is small, and operation is labor-saving. The ball valve can be made into a large caliber, reliable seal, simple structure, easy maintenance, sealing surface and sphere are often in the closed state, and not easily eroded by media. Check valves are specifically designed for use in biotech and pharmaceutical applications. The valves feature a spring-less design which eliminates the concern of media entrapment and particulate generation associated with spring-loaded designs.
